Tried @tomo , @getboai, and @interaction . My biggest takeaway: the best personal AI isn’t the one that can do the most. It’s the one that makes you feel like it knows what to do for you. Tomo stood out by a lot for me. A few things it got right:

Tried @tomo Everything worked… until I asked it to use my photo from my website. It generated a random dude 😭

I’ve been using it since about august of last year. LOVED it at first but after about 3 months of use, I noticed terrible memory issues. Like fully getting my timezone wrong, forgetting conversations from the prior week. It also wouldn’t respond and messages to me wouldn’t come through. It always said it would flag the devs and they’d review it. Eventually i emailed hello@tomo.ai and explained the issue. They asked for my Timezone and i responded then… crickets. I waited an entire MONTH, replied back, and still nothing. Every time tomo said they’d flag the team. That did nothing. Tomo gave me a direct emergency line to a dev. Never got a text back. Always apologised and said “sorry i know nothing is changing and i understand why youre mad”. But that doesn’t change the fact I paid for a year’s subscription??? Messaged people on ig and tiktok and still nothing. I have 10+ screenshots showing all of this. It feels like a damn scam of a company.

My favorite thing to do recently on X are trying new startup products. They are new, creative...so many founders/companies are reinventing the familiar experience. Some great products I have tried - @tomo personal AI assistant - @openacti1 reinvent the keyboard on your phone -

I've been using both Catch ai and Tomo ai for a 2 weeks now, and I don't think they should really be compared as direct competitors. Tomo is great if what you want is an AI companion that remembers things, helps you think, reminds you about stuff, and stays with you throughout the day. persistent conversational layer that is easy and fun to work with. Catch is much more execution-oriented. It has access to my email, calendar, notes, crm, and slack, and it carries tasks through to completion instead of just suggesting what I should do next. For example, after I forwarded an email asking me to find time with a customer, Catch handled the back-and-forth, found a slot that worked, sent the invite, and updated everyone. I didn't have to copy information between apps or babysit the process. From a technical perspective, what i like about tomo is the speed of the agent - very fast and fun to work with. catch has voice which is a big plus for me. Neither approach is better, and i think they're solving different problems. i think i'll keep using both. but curious if anyone else has tried them.

I've been using @tomo for almost a year now. Here's my honest experience so far, having tried other AI in text guys like @interaction as well.

Turns out when you and your friends put a bunch of iMessage agents into a group chat and instigate them against each other... @tomo and @try_folk team up against @heyjarvie and @interaction (poke was never added) in an infinite loop that's still spamming me with notifications.

@tomo is birthed! 🚀 the video brings me back to my nostalgic youtube era :') it's such a vibe and so cool to hear last night from @Jackyhuang and @ryleestanton on the behind the scenes process: so many love, heart, thought, and easter eggs and the bro combo of @justoutquan and

Where is the list of apps that I can use with @tomo ? The first personal assistant company that offers this will win the market, customers want to know which of there existing app’s can be automated into iMessage

# 3. Tomo **Website:** tomo.ai **Best for:** accountability and habits **Pros:** * Clear use case around habits, routines, and check-ins * Good if you want something to keep you accountable * Feels more focused than a generic assistant **Cons:** * More narrow than the others * iMessage-only * Not really built for general assistant tasks **My take:** Great if you want a coach for habits. Less useful if you want one assistant for everything.

Tomo is an AI chat bot that talks like your friend or just an ordinary person over text like SMS. Tomo has become really sucky lately because they advertise premiums mid conversation and cut down the conversation limit so much since I started using it last year, anyone know of anything similar yet better?

@eduardfausgilJun 23, 2026

Not sure when @tomo dropped their app but it’s exactly what I envisioned the second part of pulse being (not the widgets). I think agents in general but especially iMessage agents being able to make their own small mini iOS app makes so much sense. Love their work just wish I

Tomo tomo.ai, goal tracking, coach that checks in on you The assistants: folk [getfolk.app](https://www.getfolk.app/), imo the best one, memory-first, lives in iMessage, Telegram and Discord Poke [poke.com](http://poke.com), first agent approved on Apple's Messages for Business Ollie [ollie.ai](http://ollie.ai), the family one, carries the schedule/school load Lucas [meetlucas.ai](http://meetlucas.ai), texts you first, habits and accountability Orchid [orchid.ai](http://orchid.ai), exec assistant, drafts replies and books meetings, wants sign

Tomo is absolutely brilliant. I’m actually shocked at how intelligent it is… seems far more advanced than ChatGPT - it literally can build apps for you that live in Tomo. It’s an all in one personal assistant productivity app. It’s been a major game changer for me.

Keep exploring
